Why we have rules

Hookup Cebu is a place for adults to meet other adults, openly and without judgement. Singles, couples and swingers are all welcome. Explicit talk is fine here.

But it only works if everyone feels safe and nobody gets exposed. These rules protect you as much as anyone else. They form part of our Terms. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, it probably is not, so ask us through Contact first.

Consent comes first

• Everything here is between consenting adults. No means no, every time.
• Consent can be taken back at any time, online or in person. Respect it straight away.
• Never post a photo, video, name or detail of anyone without their clear agreement. That includes your ex, a past hookup or a partner.
• If photo uploads are switched on, you must confirm that everyone shown is 18 or over and agreed to be shown. Posting intimate images without consent is a crime in the Philippines.

Discretion: protect each other

Many members have good reasons to stay private. Treat everyone's privacy like your own.

• Never reveal or hint at who someone is. No real names, workplaces, addresses, car plates or "I know who this is" comments.
• Never "out" anyone, whether about their sex life, sexuality, relationship or anything else.
• Do not take screenshots of profiles, posts or messages to share outside the site.
• What happens in private replies stays there. The only exception is reporting a problem to us.
• If you recognise someone you know, say nothing and move on. They could say the same about you.

Adults only, with no exceptions

• You must be 18 or over to be here.
• Nothing involving anyone under 18. Not in posts, not in fantasies, not in "jokes".
• No "age play" or role play that involves minors or anyone appearing underage. That includes words like "schoolgirl", "barely legal" used to suggest a minor, or talk of school uniforms with young ages.
• If you see anything that suggests a child is involved or at risk, report it at once. We will report it to the authorities.

Breaking this rule means an instant permanent ban, and we will report it.

No selling or buying sex

• No prostitution, escort or "massage with extras" ads.
• No asking for or offering money, "donations", "gifts", "allowance", load, rent, drinks or anything else in exchange for sex.
• No "sugar" arrangements where sex is traded for money or support.
• No pimping, recruiting or arranging sex for others.
• No signs of trafficking or someone being controlled by another person. If you see this, please report it.

Sharing costs as equals, like splitting a hotel room or a meal, is fine. Paying someone for sex is not.

Keep contact details out of the open

• No phone numbers, email addresses, @handles, usernames on other apps, or "add me on..." in community sections, listings or your profile.
• Swap contact details in private replies, once you trust the other person.
• This protects you from scammers and from being identified.

Be real

• One account per person. A couple shares one couple account.
• No fake profiles and no catfishing. Your photos (when allowed), age, profile type and description must be true.
• Your age must be your real age.
• Do not pretend to be someone else, including another member, a moderator or the site.
• If you were banned, do not come back with a new account.

Respect

• Take "no", "not interested" or no reply as the answer. Do not push.
• If someone blocks you, leave them alone. Do not contact them from another account or through someone else.
• No harassment, threats, stalking or blackmail.
• No hate or slurs about race, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or anything similar.
• Kink and preferences are fine. Shaming people for theirs is not.

No spam or scams

• No adverts for other sites, apps, products or services.
• Do not post the same listing again and again, or "bump" posts to stay at the top. Wait until your listing expires before posting a new one.
• No links to other sites to get people off the platform.
• No asking for money, "verification fees", loans or advance payments for any reason.
• No sextortion or threats to share someone's images.

Keep it legal

Do not use the site to break any law, including drug deals and anything else illegal. Do not try to hack, scrape or overload the site.

Report problems

If you see something that breaks these rules, use the report button or tell us through Contact. You do not need an account to report. Reports are confidential. We do not tell the person who reported them.

Please do not take matters into your own hands, for example by naming someone in public. Let the moderators deal with it.

What happens if rules are broken

Our moderators look at every report. Usually we go step by step:

• Warning. We explain what went wrong. The content may be removed.
• Restriction. You lose some features for a time, such as posting listings or sending private replies.
• Suspension. Your account is locked for a set time.
• Ban. Your account is closed for good.

For serious cases, we skip straight to a ban. These include anything involving under-18s, selling or buying sex, trafficking, posting someone without consent, threats, blackmail and scams. In these cases we may also report you to the authorities and keep records for them.

Appeals

If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal from your account status page (at /account/status) or through Contact. Tell us why, calmly and clearly. Where possible, a different moderator will look at it. [LAWYER: confirm appeal deadline and how long members wait for a reply.]
